No tracking, no analytics
No analytics, no advertising, no third-party tracking software. Nothing you read is reported anywhere.
Scripture, study material and original-language data ship inside the app. Reading, studying and memorizing use no network connection — the app works the same with the signal switched off.
Anamara Voice Recognition and Microphone Use
Anamara can turn speech into text — when you tap the microphone in a field to dictate instead of typing, and when you recite a passage you are learning.
Recognition happens on your device. The audio is never saved and it is never sent anywhere. Only the text appears in the field. Not every phone can do this on its own. Where yours cannot, the microphone stays off rather than sending your voice elsewhere to be turned into text.
The first time you tap the microphone in the app, iOS shows its own standard message, which mentions sending speech to Apple. That message is the same in every app that uses this feature. It does not describe what Anamara does.
Accounts and sync
Anamara has no accounts today. Everything you write and everything you learn lives on your device and nowhere else.
Accounts and sync are being built. The rest of this section describes them in full and takes effect with the release that brings them, so that nothing changes quietly. Until then, What stays on your device below is exactly what happens.
With an account, these are stored on our servers:
- The email address you sign in with
- Your notes, prayers and flagged verses, and the folders you file them in
- What you have added to Learn, your recall attempts and their accuracy
- Your Abide schedule and your own rating of each recall
- Which books and chapters you have worked through, and your study-days calendar
- Your settings
They are held so your study can reach your other devices, and for nothing else. They are not sold, not shared, not used for advertising, and not used to build a profile of you. Sign-in credentials are never stored in a form anyone can read back.
Deleting your account deletes all of it from our servers. You will be able to do that from inside the app, in Settings → Account, and it cannot be undone.
An account stays optional. Anamara works on a single device without one.
What stays on your device
Stored on your device, never transmitted to us:
- Your notes, prayers and flagged verses, and the folders you file them in
- What you have added to Learn, your recall attempts and their accuracy
- Your Abide schedule and your own rating of each recall
- Which books and chapters you have worked through, and your study-days calendar
- Your settings — translation, appearance, reminder time, pass threshold
Feedback
What we receive:
- Your message
- Which version of Anamara and of iOS you are running
- When you sent it
The note is delivered by Formspree, a third-party form service, which emails it to us and is subject to its own privacy policy. If delivery fails, the app opens a draft in your mail app instead; nothing is sent until you send it.
This website
The site runs no analytics and sets no cookies. It loads no fonts, scripts or images from anywhere else — every file it serves is its own.
It has one form, at Contact. What we receive:
- Your message
- Your email address, if you choose to give one — it is optional
Nothing is sent unless you fill that form in and submit it. It is delivered by Formspree, the same service the app uses, and is subject to its own privacy policy. An address you give is used to reply and is not added to any mailing list.
Reminders
The daily reminder is scheduled and shown by your device. No server is involved, and nobody is told whether you opened it.
Children
Anamara collects no personal information from anyone, of any age.
